OUR MISSION: Planet Ant Theatre is an organization founded on the principle of artistic freedom and artistic experimentation leading to the growth of community, to artistic fulfillment, and to artistic success. This has been the main attraction to its artists since its conception and in turn has been the main attraction to its audience.

ACCOLADES: In existence for 11 years, Planet Ant Theatre has presented more than 80 high quality professional productions to not only Hamtramck but also the rest of southeastern Michigan. It has always shown a commitment to providing the best in theatrical productions. Planet Ant has received more than fifty nominations and awards from The Detroit Free Press, Between the Lines, and The Oakland Press including a Readers Choice Award for Best Black Box Theatre from The Real Detroit.

COMMUNITY: Planet Ant Theatre's measure of success is directly linked to the advancement of theatre as an art form in our community. It has always been inherently understood at Planet Ant Theatre that the individual spirit of artists working together in an environment of creative freedom and experimentation is the key to this advancement. Bringing to this environment our standards, our achievements, and the qualities of the included artists, we ensure the enjoyment of our audiences in the honored traditions of study and play, as well as respecting the imaginatinative element within both existing plays and new works.
