PROJECT: Replace the facing on the studio outside

The Mission: The exterior of the studio front is falling apart. The mailbox is currently mounted on what seems to be a melange of water damaged wood that is currently flaking off the building. This project proposes that we tear off all the existing junk from the the front area and replace it with plywood sheet that we can seal and paint.

• Circular saw with Fine Tooth Carbide Blade - $15

• Level

• Screw Gun

• Pry Bar/Hammer

• Caulk gun

Cost/Materials Needed:

• Two 4' x 8' sheets of 3/4" MDO (Medium Density Overlay) - G1S (Good 1 Side) @ $90/ea ($180)

• Exterior Primer and Paint (Planet Ant Black/Grey) ($60)

• Stainless Steel Trim Screws (8 x 2" - won't rust/bleed) ($25)

• 10ft Aluminum Z-Flashing/Drip Edge ($15)

• Exterior Grade Silicone Sealant/Caulk (for mailbox mounting and seams) ($25)

• Truck Rental (Flatbed/Van for 8' sheets) ($100)

• Misc (Sandpaper, brushes/rollers, rags) ($20)
