The Planet Ant backyard is ready for a party!

Join us for a summer celebration of our wonderful improv community. Come, mix & mingle with fellow performers and fans. Grab a burger or hot dog. Bring a dish to pass if you feel like it! Enjoy a summertime beverage in the backyard. And then head inside the historic Planet Ant Black Box for a show highlighting some of the most exciting and promising up-and-coming performers and troupes in the city.

If you're a performer, you're not going to want to miss your chance to play with the Planet Ant Home Team! The Home Team will be closing out the show, and will call a few folks up, lottery-style, to join them for the set!

We will also open up sign-ups for the return to the Planet Ant Colony Fest! If you would like to submit a troupe for our annual improv tournament, make sure to send a representative to grab a slot before they all fill up!

What is Colony Fest?

Colony Fest is a longstanding and beloved Planet Ant improv competition. Any and all improv troupes are invited to sign up for a performance slot night during a week of high-energy audience voted battles and unforgettable performances!

It all builds to one dramatic yet hilarious closing night, where the final teams face off for the ultimate prize… to create and star in their very own original show on the iconic Planet Ant stage!

Initial signups are held at 7pm with any remaining slots available online AFTER May 23rd.
