Rhyming With Tam

WITH TAM WHITE
12:00PM in The Independent Comedy Club

In just two hours, learn tips and tricks from the comedian and creator/producer/host of ‘Hip-Prov’ Tam White, as she shares tons of fun exercises and lessons learned throughout her years in the world of ‘rhyming’. An avid fan of hip-hop and rapping freestyles for fun at a very young age, Tam has also written comedic parodies/raps/poems, performed in musical All-Star Showdowns at her resident improv theatre ‘Go Comedy’ and joined the musical Improv cast ‘Improv: The Musical’.

Of all things, rhyming strikes the most fear and hesitancy in the heart of the average ‘Hip-Prov’ game show contestant, so Tam is excited to help everyone get out of their heads and ‘trust themselves’. Various exercises will be played as groups, pairs and line games. “Just bring an open mind and appetite for fun. I’ll take care of the rest!” ~ Tam :)

Fix It or Make it Worse

WITH SUSAN MESSING
2:00PM in ANT HALL

It is time to finally get answers to those questions and problems with improvisation that you have thought about forever and just can't crack the code. Let's break improv wide open, take rules out of the picture, and celebrate comedy again.

If you're in your head, this'll rip it out. Perfect for people who have studied too much and learned too little.

SOLD OUT: Character Entree With a Side of Specifics

WITH JAIME MOYER
11:00AM in ANT HALL

In this workshop, we will work on ways to create and sustain characters in the moment. Through details and heightening this course will help you play anyone but yourself. We will also get down to the business of specificity! Scenes and characters always improve when you add certain details to the mix.

This workshop will entail a lot of feedback and notes on your scenes, which will bring each attendant to a heightened awareness of what works well and why. And together we will create new characters you've never ever seen and/or played before!
